Readings
Rehearsed readings are an important component of Dramashop’s history, mission, and purpose. Theater makers have long relied on this format as an economical, efficient, and enriching way to share plays with audiences and develop new works free from the added demands of a fully produced performance.
Effective 2024, our rehearsed readings are now integrated into the Dramashop Originals Festival with the goal of providing more emerging authors an opportunity to hear their words interpreted by other artists, read aloud by actors, and responded to by a thoughtful public.
Cultural and community service organizations with an interest in partnering on rehearsed readings for special engagements are also welcome to contact us via: info@dramashop.org
